Charlene’s Dream Presents:
The “Hope and Healing with Peers” Workshop:
“You Want Me to Meet Who”?
Conversations about Dating after the Loss of a Spouse or Partner
This 2-hour workshop will be offered on:
Tuesday, January 16, 2018 Seabreeze United Church of Christ, 501 N. Olive Ave. Daytona Beach Fl. 32118
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
After the death of a spouse, dating again can seem inconceivable. Yet companionship is desirable. Many people have questions like: How long is ‘proper’ to wait before dating? If I fell in love again, does that mean I didn’t really love my deceased spouse? Am I dating/marrying for the right reasons? How can I tell my children? Is it okay for me to even be thinking about dating?
These questions and more will be discussed in our ‘Dating after a Loss’ workshop. A lively discussion about some of the concerns as well as some of the solutions encountered in dating after a loss will also take place.
Facilitated by Patti Comeau-Simonson, from Hope and Healing with Peers who has ‘been there’, this workshop will help you to take the steps into the dating world again. Even though dating can be awkward and difficult at times, it can also be a lot of fun. There’s no reason being a widow/widower should hold you back from enjoying a night out. Life is meant to be lived and dating is a great way to start living again.
This group is open to anyone who has experienced the loss of a spouse or partner, but registration is required.
