For centuries the seashell has symbolized pilgrimage, its lines representing the different routes pilgrims travel from all over the world, all walking trails leading to one point. In this month's Art of Healing Workshop, explore the symbolism of the seashell, a token we are so familiar with living by the beach. You'll then select and decorate shells to carry with you on your personal journey. We will use collage, markers and paint to practice meditative patterns while creating beautiful and unique shells. No experience is necessary and all supplies are provided. If you have any small collage papers you'd like to include, please bring them. All supplies provided and open to participants 16 and older. Class led by Kristin Heron.
A free, visual art program open to anyone in need of healing: patients, caregivers and survivors can all benefit from self-expression
Please limit yourself to one location per month so that others can enjoy this program. The same project is provided the 2nd and 4th Thursdays.
